The song sounds like a Rolling Stone song that I presently can't remember. And it is so shallow. The only part of the song I like is Bono screaming, from what I hear:"Love is ALL.", from the lyrics :"oh-oh-oh". That's PURE feeling. The rest doesn't get me.... Sorry!

It sounds to me like he's singing:

"What is soul?
Love me, give me soul..."

But I could be wrong.

I love that song though.

But you don't know the half of it..."

I can think of things that are easy and shallow...

However, "Wild Honey" isn't one of them.

I have an easy solution for those who don't like the song.

Don't listen to it!

DUH!!

Now I'm gonna go crank that song, because I do like it. To each his/her own.

"You're dangerous...'cause you're honest"

You are now crucified!

J/K...it's not one of my favorites, although it was nice to hear it in Providence for a change of pace...

That's ok. You dislike the song.

I like it very much-it reminds me of those Simon/Garfunkel songs with its acoustic/electric arrangement, while the happy, playful atmosphere of the song reminds me of the Beatles.

------------------
"It's about finding your way into the music." - Edge

"Something inside said this could be everything in your life." - Bono

"U2 as a band does things nobody one else can. I think that is a very powerful thing." - Larry

"Adam believed in the band before anyone did." - Bono

I always thought it sounded like a Tom Petty song.

"I'm gonna start a day care!"-Bono

I would have to agree with ericb above. I dont hate it but it is probebly my least favorite song on ATYCLB. I actually think the B side Summer Rain is better.

I just love that song

nice change of pace on the album

crucifixion is far too painful soul service.
when i first listened to wild honey, i agreed with your opinion. however, when i listened to it repeatedly, it kinda grew on me. i particularly like the line "did i know you, did i know you even then, before the clocks kept time, before the world was made".
something we may have all wondered at some point.
share the soul!
