I love Bruce!!! My favorite song of his is Thunder Road, I don't know why but I just adore it.

I missed seeing him in Detroit a few years ago, I kick myself all the time for it.

"I sometimes get the odd twinge that I wouldn't mind playing lead guitar, just like a couple of notes, but that's about as near as I would want to get to the front." -Larry

I've only seen him once w/ E-Street-on the last tour.

Twice w/ the other band. All three were absolutely mind-blowing. Like Bono says-CHURCH!!

I wonder if U2 could ever do a 3 + hour show.

I saw Bruce on an Amnesty International tour with Peter Gabriel and Sting. Bruce blew them both away, though Peter Gabriel was ok, too.

At least twice on The River tour, several times on the Born in the USA tour, and probably more that I can't remember cos it was long ago and far away. I saw him this last go-round at the Pond.

Ummm....this is by Marc Cohn. He sounds a little like Bruce.

I love the Boss's tunes. I saw him in Philly, unfortunately it was during time when he was on the "outs" w/ most of the E Streeters. Still a good show. I really don't have a fave song, too many to list. I do like his recent "41 Shots". Powerful stuff:

Is it a gun?
Is it a knife?
Is it a wallet?
This is your life.
It ain't no secret
You get killed just for living in...
Your American skin.

I have to laugh at people who say that Bruce is no longer "relevant" He is Mr. Relevance.

Look kids.....a dear!!

Bruce is awesome. I saw him over the weekend in Asbury Park at one of his holiday concerts. It was unbelievable. The convention center held at most 2,000 people. We were on the floor w/GA tickets at the left side of the stage. The show lasted 3 and 1/2 hours. U2 said they saw his last tour with the E Street Band and it reminded them of what a stripped down rock show was supposed to be like. Maybe we can thank Bruce for the no frills stage. Now if they would change the setlist every night like Bruce does, it would be perfect. U2 has been my favorite band for more than half my life (18 years and I'm 32). However, if I had tickets for Bruce and U2 on the same night, I don't know which one I would go to. They are both awesome live.

Too too many to go at here...

The River
Thunder Road
Stolen Car
NYC Serenade
Incident..
The Iceman
One Step Up
Downbound Train
Racing in The Street

Up there with the boys. Still the only two acts that really matter to me.

Hello,

Bruce is also a big favourite of mine. I saw the official opening concert of the E Street Band Reunion tour and he blew me away. I was 2nd row, even though I wasn't a big Bruce fan at that time. Nevertheless, the concert was magical. Half of the songs he played I didn't know (and in my memory he played nothing from Born In The USA although I later saw that Bobby Jean was played).

Favourite Bruce songs include:
1. The River (maybe the saddest song ever)
2. Adam Raised A Cain (Live 75-85 version)
3. Born To Run
4. Raise Your Hand (live cover)
5. Growing Up (Live 75-85 version with "That goddamn guitar!")
6. Too many other songs to mention

Yep, he's a big one.

C ya!

Marty

Bruce & U2....my 2 faves. I have seen him with and without the E Street band, and it's no comparison. When he's with the E Streeters, it's magical.

Thunder Road
Out in the Streets
Glory Days
Born in the USA
Jungleland
10th Ave Freeze Out
Murder Inc
Trapped
etc, etc, etc...........

The group version of "If I Fall Behind" on the Reunion Tour was fantastic. I also got to hear the world premier of the aforementioned "American Skin" in Atlanta. WHOA!

The Boss is awesome. There is no better album for driving down a dark road in the middle of the night than 'Nebraska.'

"You gotta love living, baby, 'cause dyin's a pain in the ass."-- Frank Sinatra

Adam: Look guys, I got a Springfield spoon for my spoon collection.
Edge: Oh boy, here we go...
Bono: Wow, how many is that now Adam?
Adam: Nine. If I didn't have my spoons, I'd go insane.
Bono: Can I see it?
*adam gives bono the spoon, bono throws it away*
Adam: My spoon!
