OK-that Mirror again-that sounds worse than our National Enquirer. It's too funny-esp. the Michael Jackson part..

Sunday Mirror: Bono Will Sing to ET at Show (5-19-2002)
From The Sunday Mirror:

Julian Brouwer

BONO could join Michael Jackson and David Bowie at a spectacular concert -
for an audience of aliens.

The one-day Out Of This World festival will be broadcast into outer space
in an attempt to communicate with Extra-Terrestrials. Michael Jackson will
headline the show to be staged near Roswell, New Mexico, the site of an
alleged UFO crash landing in 1947.

In the past, eccentric superstar Jacko has told of his determination to one
day walk on the moon.

US promoter Michael Luckman said: "Jacko told me last year that he
believes in aliens.

"And UFOs have been known to make unscheduled appearances at rock
concerts before. Maybe we'll get lucky."

Luckman will announce the full line-up for net summers gig at Christmas -
but sources said Sheryl Crow, The B-52s, Blondie and Aerosmith may also
appear.

U2 frontman Bono has not yet decided whether to accept the invitation.

A pal said: "It is the sort of thing he might get a kick out of but it really
depends when the band are planning to do because it could clash with other
commitments."

Meanwhile, Jackson is working with psychic spoon-bender Uri Geller to
help his achieve his dream of going to the Moon.

Geller suggested Jacko ask the Russian space agency about buying a $20
million seat aboard a rocket to the International Space Station.

"We are training Michael now to have that certain mind power to be able
to complete such a task," Geller said.
