Bono and 'Hey Baby'

Maybe this has been discussed already, but I heard that Bono sings on No Doubt's Hey Baby. I listened to the song and there is a voice you can barely hear in the background which does sound like Bono, but it's hard to tell. Is there any truth to this?

He doesn't sing in it, he came up with the extra "hey" when he visited No Doubt's recording studio.
