U2log.com is reporting that Brit PM Tony Blair took a meal with Bono at his home in Dublin on Saturday. The story is in the Sunday Independant but I can't post a link as you must register first. Maybe a news person can get this story for us.

Blair meets Bono before ceremony
BRITISH prime minister Tony Blair had lunch at Bono's Killiney mansion yesterday after being flown into the Air Corps aerodrome at Baldonnel amid massive security.

He was helicoptered to the British Ambassador's residence and from there driven to Killiney where he was met by the rock star and family. After attending the accession ceremonies in the Phoenix Park, Mr Blair spent the night in the U2-owned Clarence Hotel in Temple Bar.

Following his meeting with the rock star, Mr Blair hailed the expansion of the EU as a "great day for Europe and a great day for Britain".

Mr Blair said admitting 10 new countries was bound to cause uncertainty and concern. But previous experience showed that enlargement was good for both existing members and the newcomers.

And the move was a "great opportunity" for Britain because many of the new countries shared the UK's strategic vision for the EU, he said. "It is certainly a great day for Europe after all the torments of the 20th Century, but it is also a great opportunity for Britain."

Sorry,
there weren't any pic's.
