A compilation of the best songs never released on a U2 album!!!

Eligable songs include anything not on any of the 11 studio albums and the Rattle and Hum LP.

ALso, anyone with Complete U2 cover image from apple would be appreciated as everyone i find distorts when i enlarge it to cd cover size! achtung_baby16@hotmail.com

so far i have:

The Fool
Spanish eyes
Walk to the water
Lady with the spinning head
North and south of the river
Holy Joe
the ground beneath her feet
The sweetest thing
summer rain
Electrical storm (ulric mix)
Smile
Xanax and Wine
Mercy

other suggestions? It's mostly chronological, but i think the flow is pretty good...what do you guys think?? What am I missing?

A Celebration, Party Girl, Silver and Gold, Stateless, Velvet Dress (jools holland Mix) and Big Girls are Best are awesome

Just check the b-sides of both Best Of collections and there is a lot to get from there.

As for the unreleased material (example Xanax and Wine) or the stolen material (example Heaven and Hell) - they were not even worthy to make it as a b-side in U2 standards so with more reasons they don't belong to any best non-album song list.

Cheers,

J

levitate

she's gonna blow your house down

take you down

i'm not your baby

and, not on the studio albums:

miss sarajevo

hold me thrill me kiss me kill me

hahaha!!! I forgot 11 oclock, that was one that I origionally intended to get the idea for this little project!!!

and jick, this is just for my personal listening, not a general best of songs not on albums, y'know, just the best unreleased songs for me to listen to in my car cd player, lol!

11 O'clock tick tock
The Fool
Spanish eyes
Walk to the water
Lady with the spinning head
Holy Joe
Hold me thrill me kiss me kill me
North and south of the river
the ground beneath her feet
The sweetest thing
summer rain
Electrical storm (ulric mix)
Smile
Xanax and Wine
Mercy

dude, the list is pretty good, but theres 1 song you REALLY NEED. . .

STREET MISSION!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

and She's Gonna Blow Your House Down

Two glaring omissions from the Best of 1980-1990 B Sides:

Deep In the Heart
Race Against Time

plus, toss in these two and you'll never get road rage:

Slow Dancing
Two Shots of Happy, One Shot of Sad

(yeah, I like playing mellow songs in my car - I've gotten too many speeding tickets!)

I will admit that I am starting to like Hold me thrill me kiss me kill me so I would pick that one.

Yeah I agree with this, It often gets overlooked because it wasn't on a album..

STREET MISSION!!!!! the 1st demo version

It is probably the best Edge's solo ever in U2 history

Are you gonna wait forever? The song is better than half of HTDAAB songs....but it's only a B-side....

It's almost never ending!

Whoever said Edge doesn't like solos really ought to hear it.

Shame Bono sounds like a total wanker on it though.

You win some you lose some.

what about Three Sunrises, that tune is awesome.

Levitate
Smile
mercy
love comes tumbling
luminous times
dancing barefoot
spring hill mining disaster
always
summer rain
lady with the spinning head
salome
race against time
sweetest thing
electrical storm
stateless
ground beneather her feet
night and day
miss sarajevo
hod me thrill me....
boomerang
11 o clock tick tock
flower child
and a ton more

.......... there are so many

I think it would be easier to make it a box set.

11 O'Clock Tick Tock
Hold Me, Thrill Me, Kiss Me, Kill Me
The Ground Beneath Her Feet

Fantastic songs.

Some other cool ones: She's Gonna Blow Your House Down, Mercy, The Three Sunrises, Lady With the Spinning Head

About the Street Mission comments. I just can't get that some people are saying this is the best Edge solo ever. I mean, WTF?! It's just a typical rock solo, not even close to masterpieces like The Fly, Acrobat, Until the End of the World, Mysterious Ways, Love is Blindness, Dirty Day, Gone, Last Night on Earth, God Pt.II and many more...
