Best one-two punch U2 have started a show with

Kind of bored at work. So I thought I'd start another "favorite thing U2 do live" thread. What's everyone's favorite one-two song combo to kick off a show. For example, I happen to be partial when U2 would open their JT shows with Streets and then go into I Will Follow. Also like Zoo Station into The Fly.

Depends if you are including intros or not. If you take the intro into account, I reckon it to be something like this

1. Zooropa (Drummer Boy -> Zoo Station -> The Fly)
2. Popmart (Pop Muzik -> Mofo -> I Will Follow)
3. Vertigo (Wake Up/Everyone -> COBL -> Vertigo)
=The Rest=
n. Elevation (Sgt Peppers/Elev Influx -> Elevation -> BEautiful Day).


If you mean without intro,

1. Zoo Station -> The Fly
2. COBL -> Vertigo
3. Streets -> I Will Follow
4. Mofo -> I Will Follow
5. Elevation -> Beautiful Day

COBL-->Vertigo is a rush for sure, seeing the lights come up in the chorus and the people going crazy in the ellipse...is awesome

Definitely Mofo - I Will Follow

I don't think The Fly is a great second number, because after the orgasmic marriage between Zoo TV Intro and Zoo Station, the pause between Zoo Station and The Fly for changing guitars break up all that tension and magic

That never happened with Pop Musik - Mofo - I Will Follow

The UF Tour's 11 O'clock Tick Tock --> I Will Follow opening combo owns every other combo in existence.

That said, some Lovetown combos (Hawkmoon 269 or God Part II or Bullet The Blue Sky followed by Desire) and Popmart's Mofo --> I Will Follow were also excellent choices.
