Best Non-Album Track Survivor - Final Pool - Grand Final

And then there were two. From an initial pool of 94 tracks six weeks ago, we have whittled it down to the final two contenders. In the next 24 hours, we will crown a champion.

Lady With The Spinning Head has exited the competition as the 3rd Runner-Up, the Bronze Medalist of the competition, and with that we enter the final round of the competition, the Grand Final, which will determine the 1st Runner-Up and the Champion.

We're going to do this a little bit differently. Up until now, we've been voting for our least favorite in each round of the traditional survivor, but for the Grand Final, we're going to vote for our FAVORITE track. This will be repeated below in the normal instructions section.

Good luck to both contenders, and let's finish this thing as strongly in terms of participation as we can!

The results of the Grand Semifinal:

LCT still being there makes this easy. Batman HMTM to win.

Thanks for running this survivor Ruckman, looking forward to the next one.

Best Non-Album Track Survivor - Final Pool - Grand Final

Wow, did not expect four straight votes for LWTSH. I thought it was safe.

Damn, that sucks. It was my favourite of the top three and I expected to be backing it today. Well, in this case, Love Comes Tumbling for the win.

I have to address something Axver said in the previous thread:

I personally think the 360 versions - and in particular the From The Ground Up version - blow the Popmart versions out of the water. They're just so much fuller and more cinematic in sound, particularly the guitar parts. The way they played it on that tour was much closer to the studio version.

Anyway, I'm leaning towards LCT here, but not sure yet.

I mean, I like Love Comes Tumbling, but does it really deserve #2 status? I don't know. Maybe I will go listen to it again... and again and again and again.... again....

Ha! I read the poll wrong. Oops. Oh well. These are two of my top 5 non-album tracks anyway so I'd be happy either way.

The Popmart Mannheim version ends with a killer snippet of Children of the Revolution that they never did again. It really adds something to the end of the song.

Anyway, I literally don't have any 360 Tour recordings. Fuck that tour. I enjoyed HMTMKMKM a shit-tonne the one time I heard it, but Bono's voice is more cooked now than it was even on Popmart so I can't imagine preferring any particular recording.
