One of my favourite bits is on LPOE when it gets all murky at the end, then when the unkurky Edge guitar jabs in over it... if you're listening with awesome speakers or headphones it's made even better. It sounds like the edge guitar stab is coming through the murk and bashing you right in the ear... like when your ears are plugged with water and they suddenly open up

Exactly. That solo is executed brilliantly. In fact, this whole ALBUM is executed brilliantly. The "hurt" line in Vertigo, the last minute and a half of Miracle Drug, that point when Sometimes really kicks in, Edge's solo in LAPOE, the bridge of COBL and the final "ALL - YOU - LOOK - SO - BEAU-TI-FUL tonight", Edge's rockin' solo and Bono's scream in All Because Of You, the beautiful falsetto at the end of A Man and a Woman, the ending solo of Crumbs, the buildup of drums toward the end of One Step Closer, the "sugar come on" part of Original of the Species, the bridge of Yahweh... what a perfect album.
