Best Live Performance

Any U2 song... from any concert, any bootleg, personal experience - if you're lucky enough to have had it - anything. I find it pretty impossible to isolate one, so I'm going to list a few of my faves..

Mysterious Ways (Dublin - 28 Aug 1993)
With or Without You (Rattle and Hum)
One Tree Hill (Dublin - 26 Dec 1989)
The Fly (Elevation Boston)
Sunday Bloody Sunday (Rattle and Hum)
Love Is Blindess (ZooTV Sydney)
Please (MTV Video Music Awards, 1997)
Stay (Dublin - 28 Aug 1993)

Mysterious Ways, Zoo TV Houston

And I second mikal's choice of Bad from the Chicago show on the 7th. Absolutely incredible.

"Who buys U2 records anyway? It's just music for plumbers and bricklayers. Bono, what a slob. You'd think with all that climbing about he does, he'd look real fit and that. But he's real fat, y'know. Reminds me of a soddin' mountain goat."
"And as for Bono, he needs a colostomy bag for his mouth."

This sums it up for me, congratulations on being the only person I've met here with taste!

seriously though, Mysterious Ways, I'm so glad everyone else likes this one, it's the best by far. The Fly Boston can't be beat either.

Sunday Bloody Sunday (Slaine '01) - "29 people: too many"

Pride (R&H '87) - "In the name of Martin Luthor King: sing"

If I had to pick just one it would be Mofo from the '97 EMAs.

Mysterious Ways from Irving Plaza 2000 beats ANY OTHER performance of that song! it's just perfect, it's way better than even the 8-28-93 performance!

With Or Without You from Rattle & Hum - awesome!

Last Night On Earth from Mexico City 3/12/97 - I wanted to meet God, but he sold me religion!

With Or Without You from Birmingham 14/8/01 - When Bono started singing Love Will Tear Us Apart at the end I nearly wet myself. In a word, beautiful.

I have copies of all of these if anyone's interested
