Bands that should cover U2 songs?

While on the subject of covers, I think some bands should do some U2 covers, but not just any band...

My picks:

Radiohead - The Fly
Bruce Springsteen - Silver And Gold
Keane - Running To Stand Still

Thom Yorke cannot handle The Fly's vocals, maybe the Fat Lady voice.

Muse - Until the End of the World
The Killers - Mysterious Ways
The Strokes - The Cry / The Electric Co.
The Secret Machines - The Fly
The Smashing Pumpkins - Bad
Franz Ferdinand - An Cat Dubh / Into the Heart
Snow Patrol - Gloria

Now that I think of it, I think Pearl Jam would do a bitching cover of "Please"

It would be better if EV didn't do the falsetto, it'd really make the song his own.

Some more:

R.E.M. - All I Want is You, Running to Stand Still, Ultra Violet (Light My Way)

BRUUUUCE - Bad, Pride, Sometimes You Can't Make It on Your Own

Keane - North and South of the River, The First Time

Radiohead - Lemon (something I see being in Thom Yorke's wheelhouse)

thoughts?

Anathema - Acrobat, Exit
Pure Reason Revolution - The Unforgettable Fire, Slug, Always Forever Now
Blackfield - The Ground Beneath Her Feet
Porcupine Tree - Indian Summer Sky

I also have to wonder how Agalloch doing Love Is Blindness would go ... they could take that song to some really interesting places.

"Who buys U2 records anyway? It's just music for plumbers and bricklayers. Bono, what a slob. You'd think with all that climbing about he does, he'd look real fit and that. But he's real fat, y'know. Reminds me of a soddin' mountain goat."
"And as for Bono, he needs a colostomy bag for his mouth."

Maybe I'm a bit off, but I think Wilco could pull off a good 'Running To Stand Still'.

It seems like something Tweeders & Co. would execute pretty well.
