Its quite difficult for me to pick any stand out performances of Bad during Elevation because I didn't like the sound of his voice, he seemed to struggle with the big notes on some of the eighties classics. That said the first night in Antwerp is pretty good, its directly from Bono's earpeice so sound qualities awesome, and I've also heard Houston 01 is very good too.

These are what I believe to be the finest performances of Bad taken from each tour since 1984. It's also an interesting look back at how certain details of Bad have changed over the years, and also the way the band have played the song, as they change little things up for it from tour to tour. The Popmart versions probably feel and sound the most different from all others, with the louder sequencer, tuning down a full step, etc. Love Bono's voice at Santiago, especially during the buildup to the climax. My personal favorites are the Lovetown/Zoo TV renditions. Be sure to listen to 1992-05-27 from Zurich, just for Edge's solo... He did some wicked stuff for the song back then.

I thought that was the 2005-09-20 Chicago show. We were there, and the CD I got of the show also has it that way. Does anyone have set lists of the two shows? I'll listen to the CD at work tomorrow and find out.

Just listened to the CDs from the 2005-09-20 Chicago show. It ends with "The First Time>"Bad">phrases from "40" (How long . . . to sing this song)>back to "Bad." Good times . . . .
