It gets better w/ repeated listens, and increasing volume!

I absolutely can't wait to get my Vertigo singles in the mail. As soon as I get them I'm putting the first one in my sound system and blasting these two songs at full volume. (Vertigo and AYGWF that is)

Really? I don't hear it myself. When I think Rattle and Hum, I generally think of Bono's rough voice. His, "Into the arms....of America" slant. This sounds more like the latter tracks of AB and ATYCLB.

This definitely reminds me of "Where did it all go wrong?", due to the demo quality vocals. Unlike other, better non-album tracks (Lady with the Spinning Head, Salome, Sweetest Thing) this one has no background vocals or harmonies, so it definitely sounds rougher than those. Fairly interesting as a b-side though.
And didn't I hear that this is supposedly a leftover from ATYCLB? If so, then it's probably not indicative of the sound of HTDAAB.

It's from Morning Child (the first draft of Who's Gonna ride your wild horses)...

I love this song...

Is the Discotheque single the only place you can find Holy Joe? If so, where can you find a Discotheque single nowadays? lol
