This quote is EXACTLY what I was thinking on my first few listens

Not since 2000's All That You Can't Leave Behind have U2 sounded so fully comfortable with the idea of being U2.

New Zealand Herald: Review: U2, Songs of Innocence - Entertainment - NZ Herald News

The reviewer's mother, also named Iris, also died when he was 14. Very eerie.

Surprised this is the first reference I've read to William Blake.

I'm also surprised that so few people get the Blake reference. It was the very first thing that came to my mind when I read the news on my phone about the album title. I immediately knew there just had to be a second part. I'm very much into Blake and I couldn't be more thrilled about U2 working with this concept (even though Bono says it' not a concept album).
