ok, this is sort of a 90s mix, but the main idea is adding other 90s tracks to achtung baby, here it is:

zoo station
EBTTRT
one
stay
IGWSHA
first time
end of the world
wild horses
so cruel
the fly
lemon
mysterious ways
DYFL
dirty day
ultra violet
acrobat
LNOE
hallelujah (bono's cover of jeff buckley's hallelujah)
velvet dress
dead man
love is blindness

what do you think?

4 ballads in a row= bad flow.

Personally, I think a Zooropa/POP combo is more feasible and the band should have made a huge album featuring many songs from both.

IGWSHA went in there in the last minute.. the album was rushed, if only i had more time! :uhoh:

zoo station
even better than the real thing
last night on earth
one
until the end of the world
stay
who's gonna ride your wild horses
gone
dirty day
so cruel
the fly
hold me thrill me kiss me kill me
mysterious ways
trying to throw your arms around the world
if you wear that velvet dress
ultraviolet
acrobat
love is blindness

To me Zooropa is a great album. It is a cohesive, tight album. I think the addition of anything other than HMTMKMKM would bring down its overall quality.

HMTMKMKM belongs on POP. It doesn't fit on Zooropa - it's too rocking for that album. Every time I listen to Gone I always want HMTMKMKM to follow it. It would have been a great back-to-back combination.

Something I've always wondered...Bill Flanagan talks about the band working on If God Will Send His Angels for Zooropa. Has anybody ever heard these early versions? Do we know anything about them? Did the song sound anything like it does on Pop? Just curious.

sorry to say, but each time I imagine Zooropa ENDING a compilation it seems stupid each and every time.

I think AB and Zooropa go together very well but unless I'm making an all-out 90s mix, I don't include anything from after 94...no Pop, HMTMKMKM, etc.

My AB/Zooropa tracklisting...

1)Zooropa
2)Zoo Station
3)Even Better Than The Real Thing
4)One
5)Lemon

you know now that you mention it, HMTMKMKM would probably fit better on Pop. It would fit well alongside a rocking tune like gone.
