All I can add is Too many ties and averages, that's why the results look so crazy. For eg.: Acrobat was voted at no. 1 by 7 people but also at no. 5 by 7 other people. So it got the average 3. One was voted by 8 people at no. 2 and The Fly was also voted by 8 other people at no. 2. Zoo Station was voted by 6 people at no. 6 and 6 other people at no. 11. So the average was 8.5.

You should score it like they do for Baseball Awards, where a first place vote gets a certain amount of points and so on. And if there is a tie whoever has the most first place votes breaks the tie.

Man... Acrobat is probably the most complete song U2 has ever done! Every band member shines here. Great balls-y lyrics from Bono. Earth-shaking drums by Mullen. Spine-tingling riffing by the Edge. Amazing stand-out bass lines from Clayton. Sure, it wasn't a big hit or a single. It's such a well-constructed rock song.

not sure i'd agree with it being the most complete song they have ever done. it's a great song, thinking about it maybe i shouldn't have been so harsh on it and put it a bit higher in the list than i did (no.11)! But what gets to me is how some people on here talk about it as if it's the Be-all and End-all of U2 songs, the holy grail, the Piece de resistence ect..... there are at least 5 songs on AB that are better than it! esp The Fly (i'm running out of superlatives to describe how good this song is).

The Fly IS really really impressive, not just impressive but stylish and sexy as well. Acrobat = outstanding lyrics + outstanding instrumentation. Hard to compare/rank these songs, you know!

I think the song is great...in basically every version but the album version, too overproduced, like Stuck on ATYCLB.

The Temple Bar Mixes are spectacular and lyrics and guitar rele shine through there
