Babyface gets slagged off a lot around here, and maybe it isn't the best song they've ever written, but it deserves some lovin'.

Do do do.......etc,

When I clicked on the thread, my mind went, "DON'T SAY 'MERCY,' DON'T SAY 'MERCY,' DON'T SAY 'MERCY,' DON'T SAY 'MERCY,' DON'T SAY 'MERCY,' DON'T SAY 'MERCY,' DON'T SAY 'MERCY,' DON'T SAY 'MERCY'..."

So anyway, I love you, and let's hear it for "Babyface." Bop bop bop bop!

I thought this thread was about One. :|

I feared that possibility more than typhoon feared it being about Mercy.

It's a nice thematic continuation of Zooropa and the media theme of Zoo TV; poor infatuated Bono's stuck watching some girl on his VCR.

This is apparently cyanide/Ebola to some people but it's a likable song for me.

I've always liked this song, it's a cute song... don't know why people bash it so much.

I like it more than Numb, Daddy's Gonna Pay, The First Time and SDABTO... and Lemon... :reject:

Heh, I instantly fell in love with the Zooropa album the second this track started playing.......gloriously awesome.

great pop tune, interesting sounds, entertaining and thoughtful lyric. i think that zooropa as a whole has grown on me more than any other u2 album. for me it wasn't as immediate as u2's other work, but it's really sustained itself impressively. there's always a melody from somewhere on that album echoing around in my head. babyface is a big reason for that.

When I was younger Babyface was definatly on of my favorites on Zooropa. Since then I've come to like it less than I initially did, however I don't understand why people are always ragging on it, it's a nice song.

When I first heard it I like it, now I don't.

I'm not even sure why. It's just become one of those songs that I can't say WHY I don't like it, I just don't...

Not sure why it gets bashed so much, its not the greatest song U2 has ever done but far from the worst either.

Always hit and miss with me, some times Im not so keen on it, but other times I absolutely love it.
