A request for everyone planning on starting a new thread

Before you start a new thread, could you please look and see if there is another thread where the topic is already being discussed? I'm seeing topics start, but get pushed down to the 2nd page and beyond before there is a chance for much discussion, because 50 people decided to start identical threads without looking to see what was already posted and whether their comments could be introduced into another discussion, rather than presented as a new topic.
