A question about the single version of "If God Will Send His Angels"

Is it just me, or does the end of the singe version of"If God Will Send His Angels" sound like the beginning of a much better song?

I suppose it could be a part of a song they scrapped, but damnit, why did they have to scrap it! LOL

It sounds freaking unbelieveable! Grrrr
