wow.. lots of effort went into that.

i gope to god they dont play olympic stadium in montreal though! that place is where sound goes to die...

I believe that they'll probably begin the tour with a short run of arenas in America. If that all works out and U2 does really well, they'll come back in the summer of 2005 for a stadium leg.

only problem is some of these places dont exist anymore

Foxboro stadium= gillette stadium , its right next door so no biggy.

3 Rivers is out of service too, turned into Lincoln Financial (Eagles) and PNC Park (Pirates.)

Silver Dome= Ford Field now- new venue.

Astrodome is not being used anymore, either... Minute Made Park (Astros) and relianet stadium (texans- this years super bowl site)

Kingdom was imploded... M's now play in Safeco, forgot the Seahawks field name

other than that, good work... i dont think thatd mess up any of the plans, just change the venue

Yeah I wish there was somewhere else except Olympic Stadium of any size in Montreal to play... :|

Although if they do come to Eastern Canada before 12 March 2005 I'll need to go to Montreal so that I can drink legally... :)

Hmm...I just had an idea...Dorian Grey, e-mail me. u2_13@hotmail.com. We should talk (and Basstrap and Sweet Tart) about the next tour... :D

3 shows in melbourne but only 2 in sydney?

i like that if that was real....

how about 6 shows at the more intimate rod laver!!!

let me know what you think

FIRST LEG (AMERICA,Canda, MEXICO & SOUTH AMERICA)

28th November 2004 - Santiago - Estadio Nacional
30th November 2004 - Santiago - Estadio Nacional

THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU... but 2 in my back yard (is really close to me that stadium) is too marvellous or wonderfull to be truth (Let's hope Bono will get drunk some day, see this list, print it and do the list... maybe just the drunk part could happen  )

Okay this schedule works for me BUT the tickets have to go on sale before July because I may be going to mongolia for 3 weeks and I don;t think thet have ticketamster there or internet access...

hi

firstly i put 3 melbourne gigs ahead of 2 sydney shows for the reason that i belive telstra stadium (80,000 + people on floor) in sydney hold more people than telstra dome (55,000 + floor) in melbourne

and yes i thought some of those places may not exist, i was using the old U2bloodredsky.com catalouge as a stadium guide for some of the citys.

and remember thats just my idea of the tour plan, i guess i should have put San Fransico and Oakland in...heheh i dont put enough into this really, i just kinda threw it together :)

Disagree with Twickenham for Three Shows in a row. I think they'll play Earl's Court once or twice.

take the yankee stadium dates off... that'll never happen. u2 and billy joel are the only ones to ever play yankee stadium... it's very rarely done... and 5 shows there is not gonna happen... especially 3 back to back dates in october. now with the yankees recent moves who knows if they will be playing in october this year :)wink:zoney), but they usually are... so steinbrenner will never commit to a rock concert on his home field in october.

21st Febuary 2005 - Sydney - Telstra Stadium
22nd Febuary 2005 - Sydney - Telstra Stadium
28th Febuary 2005 - Christchurch - Lancaster Park
3rd March 2005 - Auckland - Western Springs Stadium

You explained your reasoning for Sydney having less shows than Melbourne, but what must be remembered is 1. Sydney has half a million more people than Melbourne and 2. there's a large population just outside the greater Sydney area too. I think there'd be an equal amount of shows in Sydney and Melbourne.

I've heard the Gold Coast's Carrara stadium will be seeing Metallica within a month, so considering that, I think there should be a Gold Coast date before the Brisbane show. And if they're going to NZ, then they'll play Westpac Stadium in Wellington as well - it's got a lot of big name artists, think they had Robbie Williams and some other people that, although big, are useless. That'd fit in on 2nd March 2005 and make the Auckland show on the 4th.

By the way, for the sake of pedantics, I'm unsure whether they'd use Western Springs in Auckland or not (Being a Wellingtonian, I don't care for Auckland), but Lancaster Park, sadly, is now Jade Stadium. I think it should revert back to the old name.

I think there's also a chance of a Dunedin concert at Carisbrook before the Christchurch one. Probably not likely, but you never know. I'd imagine there'd also be two shows in Perth and possibly a second in Adelaide.

my plan is based on a stadium tour...

and truely i think sydney and melbourne will both get 2 or 3 shows each....all depends on ticket sales, and if U2 plan that many shows

Didn't U2 not even sell out one stadium show in Melbourne during Popmart? Same with Brisbane? And they only sold out one in Sydney.

They didn't play Brisbane, and what you have to remember is that it was Popmart. I'm pretty sure they sold out Melbourne, just they played at a pathetically small ground - I think Waverley only holds about 17,000, though I could be totally wrong. I have no idea about Sydney.

After the success of ATYCLB, I'm positive they'll sell out at least one stadium in each of the main state capitals. Everyone wants a Beautiful Day, y'know.

i think waverley "Used" to hold about 30,000 acturly, i could be wrong also :)
why they decided to play there i'll never know...must have been someting on at the MCG

still i belive that sydney and melbourne will get atleast 2 shows and Axver for your sake, i hope they do 2 in brisbane also

2 tix for Milan, 2 for Vienna and 4 for Munich. And Amsterdam on the 14th of July. hm.

Rio de Janeiro sounds good

But they won?t play in Nelson Piquet again... There aren?t shows on autodromes/stadiums anymore, at least here... They?ll probably play on Claro Hall just like Deep Purple and Iron Maiden (bands as huge as U2)...

Well, in order for U2 to make the trip to South America, they probably would have to play in stadiums. That way they can play to maximum people, making a maximum amount of money by playing a minimal amount of shows. That's the way it works, I'm sorry to say.

And about the Oslo thing. Larry promised they would play in Oslo, so they have to. Valle Hovin Stadium.

We Need Bay Area Shows

You left out SF and Oakland.....U2 always plays in the Bay Area. [/QUOTE Yes where are the Bay Area shows.I live in Northern California and they always come here. They always play in Oakland or San Jose.I hope they do come back over here.

U2 Come Back!!!

Hah.. If only your itinerary were true. :D

But I'm going to hope they never play the HHH Metrodome again, ever. Popmart was there and it was horrible sound. All you hear are echoes - oes - oes - oes bouncing around each other.
