If someone thinks Live Aid was overrated, they were born after 1975.

I guess Red Rocks was overrated as well.

Yay! Indra got my joke!

I have to say that I think there are other, better versions of both SBS and Bad out there.

Live Aid was incredible, but a lot of it is visual. if you're just listening to the audio and have no idea what Bono's doing, it's just meandering, and too long, and ... well, kind of sloppy.

Yep! :D

And I do agree that U2's Live Aid performance, while cool to watch (I watched it on TV that day and I was so excited), musically wasn't all that great. I've heard songs be extended live that sound great, but yeah, Bad just sort of wandered while Bono did his Bono stuff.

all video aside, the sound during Bad - Live Aid was chilling, more so then the R and H version for sure. I don't know what it was, but the combination of the synth tone, edge's guitar with the highs turned right up, Larry's millitary drum beat, the tempo, Adams bass, subtle like a heart beat, Bono's vocal range.... it was magic...it don't think the ending meandered, I just wanted them to keep that magic going
