Don't get me wrong, I think this is one of the best songs on the album, personally. I was just thinking that, lyricially, it reminded me of a Johnny Cash tune. That's all. Please don't read too much into anything I say.

i thought about leonard cohen when i first heard it and then johnny cash just because both of those guys can deliver some serious melancholy in a subtle way.
bono delivers it here too, big time.

Yeah, I said the same thing (re: Johnny Cash) in my review which I posted a few days ago. But as someone else so nicely said, Bono wanted to speak for himself this time.
