Utter rubbish.

In the interview with Rolling Stone, Bono was asked about this countoff at the beginning of Vertigo. His response was, and I quote, "I think there may have been alcohol involved."

Even he doesn't know what it means...because it doesn't mean anything.

It's a album whether U2 or anyone else thinks according to the above!
