Paul Simonon, ftfw.The bass guitarist of the Clash seems to have a jazz bass style in general.

Another favourite!You should hear Revolution Rock. The ska influence on that track is even more obvious.
I wouldn't even call London Calling a punk album really.
But goddam is it good.

That's why it's a classic.I enjoy some ska. Streetlight Manifesto is the only band all of my buddies and I enjoy.
This album is kicking my ass right now.
Are The Clash one of those bands with one real good album or is the rest of their discography worth checking out?
I love Sandinista! too. I have Combat Rock, but I haven't really listened to it yet.Their debut is pretty fucking cool. London's Burning? White Riot? Yeah.
