We're partnering with our old friends NME for this trip Stateside, this tour is presented in association with them.

The dates are:

April 7 Washington, DC @ 9:30 Club
April 9 Boston, MA @ Avalon Ballroom
April 12 New York, NY @ Roseland Ballroom

We will soon confirm some US TV appearances wrapped around this tour, and we'll be ending the tour in California at a certain Festival that happens to be on that weekend at the end of April. We also hope to confirm details of supports on this tour very shortly. Keep checking back for final details.

Really hoping this is a good album. About time some decent stuff came out of my home city.

I'm fed up of Lancastrians having the monopoly on great British bands!

Seriously though, it's been ages since a truly decent Yorkshire band emerged and I'm really struggling to think of any band from Leeds that I've actually liked. I do like the Kaiser Chiefs but if I think back to Employment I loved half of the songs on it and hated the other half. Hopefully this album will be more consistent.

Are The Music not from Leeds? Or is that just in my imaginary world I seem to be living in of late?

Yes, they are And they were also the band I was thinking of when I said I couldn't think of any band from Leeds that I've really liked

True, true and there's Pulp of-course but Pulp are 'on hold' at the minute whatever the heck that means. Still, there's always good old Jarvis

They play:

Boston Avalon Ballroom (9)
New York Roseland Ballroom (12)
Montreal Spectrum (17)
Toronto Kool Haus (18)

The general ticket sale does not start until January 27.

But I'm still excited!

I almost went ahead and bought tix from NME... but then I found out that they force you to ship UPS for $10! Ticketmaster's actually gonna be cheaper on this one So I'll have my tix for Boston on Saturday!

And I'm getting more and more excited about this album... "Ruby" has been in heavy iPod rotation lately
