I've been listening to R.E.M. a whole lot lately and I'm getting more into them as time goes on. It seems like there's a lot of R.E.M. fans here so I would like to know what are your top 10 favorite R.E.M. songs. Here are mine:

1. It's The End of The World As We Know It (And I Feel Fine)
2. Everybody Hurts
3. What's The Frequency Kenneth
4. The Great Beyond
5. You
6. Bad Day
7. The Finest Worksong
8. The One I Love
9. Tongue
10. Be Mine

It's kind of a cliche list I admit but I don't know all of their songs yet. I intend to listen to their 80's stuff more in the future. And Supernatural Superstitious is a great song, I hope the new album kicks ass!

This is a daunting task.

qft!

This is the best I could come up with off the top of my head in no particular order:

(Don’t Go Back To) Rockville
Fall On Me
Sweetness Follows
Find The River
What’s The Frequency, Kenneth?
Undertow
Leave
Walk Unafraid
Beat A Drum
Leaving New York

There are more but I tried to cut it down to 10...

1. Country Feedback
2. E-Bow (The Letter)
3. Find The River
4. I Believe
5. Walk Unafraid
6. Half A World Away
7. Let Me In
8. You Are The Everything
9. Nightswimming
10. Me In Honey

This is extremely hard to do with a band that has 150 or so great songs.

Off the top of my head and in no particular order after the top 3:

1. Begin the Begin
2. Find the River
3. Pilgrimage
4. Cuyahoga
5. Fall On Me
6. Sitting Still
7. The Great Beyond
8. Daysleeper
9. Binky the Doormat
10. Leave

I'm not so sure about 9 & 10, but I was blanking and I have to get back to work, so I just threw them in there.

Daunting, indeed.

This would probably change tomorrow and is in no particular order except for the first one...

Gardening at Night
Finest Worksong
So. Central Rain
Sidewinder Sleeps Tonite
Country Feedback
Rockville
NightSwimming
Begin the Begin
Driver 8
FInd the River

I knew I'd do this: I forgot one of my all-time favorites.

Swap out one of the last two on my list with the awesome Life and How To Live It.

I have a feeling the top 10 could change once the new album comes out. But here it goes...

1.) Strange Currencies
2.) Diminished
3.) What's The Frequency Kenneth?
4.) Be Mine
5.) Country Feedback
6.) Nightswimming
7.) Sidewinder Sleeps Tonite
8.) Leave
9.) I Took Your Name
10.) Bang And Blame

In no paticular order:

Country Feedback
Find the River
Begin the Begin
Turn You Inside-Out
Me in Honey
Leave (alternate version)
Walk Unafraid
Be Mine
At My Most Beautiful
Fretless

E-bow The Letter
The Sidewinder Sleeps Tonite
Daysleeper
Around The Sun
What's The Frequency, Kenneth?
The One I Love
Find The River
Drive
Shiny Happy People
Begin The Begin
