not in any particular order:

-joe strummer
-shane macgowan
-the guy from the pinkerton thugs who sings "never again"
-al barr
-bono
-bruce springsteen
-steven page
-greg graffin
-ed kowalczyk

whoops...that was only 9...
-hmm...maybe the guy from idlewild

as you can clearly tell, it's not the 'ability to sing' that i'm necessarily going for here...it's all about the vocals sound withing whatever band these guys are singing in. honestly, i don't care for female vocals as a general rule. i'm not sure WHY, i just don't.

Yay, Roddy's definately on my list. Based on the last 2 albums and not his voice on Hope Is Important.

- Bono
- Roddy Woomble (Idlewild)
- Michael Stipe
- Shirley Manson (Garbage)
- Gwen Stefani
- Grant Nicholas (Feeder)
- Ryan Adams
- Damien Rice
- Cerys Matthews (Catatonia)
- Bjork

I was just going for the voices I like, and some of them are so full of character, without detracting from the music.

Bono is fantastic but his voice doesn't consistently send ripples through my body the way those other singers do (especially Elvis).
