New to my collection as of yesterday:

- Radiohead - Hail to the Thief (lim. ed. with strange roadmap thingy); and
- Tindersticks - Waiting for the Moon (also lim. ed. with free "Don't even go there" EP).

In the last week I've either bought or acquired

Bob Dylan - Blood On The Tracks (as good as Bob gets?)
Joy Division - Unknown Pleasures (classic)
Matthew Good - Avalanche (eh...)
Sly and The Family Stone - Greatest Hits (party!)
Metallica - St. Anger (hmm)

Haaaaaaa. Today I scammed very well. I got the Metallica cd plus the dvd. Thing is, the both of them combined retail at $48.95. The cd by itself is normal price, but Big W made a mistake and thought they had put only the cd on sale. Lucky for me, they had put the price on the combined set so I got them both for only $20

:D

Nick Cave - Nocturama and Leonard Cohen - Ten New Songs

I lost my Sigur Ros - () Damn...it had some good memories.

I'm still not allowing myself to buy CD's. My backlog of CD's-I-still-have-to-listen-well is too big at the moment (mainly consisting of Brucelegs). IIRC, the last record I bought was in mid-May: Bruce Springsteen's The Ghost Of Tom Joad. Oh wait, I also bought the first record of Lenny Kravitz and The Score by The Fugees the week after that...

C ya!

Marty (who has way too many CD's)

NEW PORNOGRAPHERS - Electric Version
STARLIGHT MINTS - Built on Squares
BAND OF BEES - Sunshine Hit Me

Grandaddy-Sumday
Radiohead-HTTT
Jack Johnson- on and on (for the lady)
Cat Power- You are free...(finally, found it on half.com for 8 dollars!)

How's Fever to Tell? I've heard Date With the Night, No No No, and Rich, and liked them all, but I can't decide if I should go ahead and buy their album or not.

most recently: radiohead HTTT and dropkick murphys blackout
before that the last time i bought music was in the middle of may, and i purchased several bad religion albums...the new america, no control, generator, tested, recipe for hate, and 80-85. haven't had the money to buy as many cds as i would like...

Coldplay--Rush of Blood
Radiohead--Hail to the Thief
Led Zeppelin--How the West Was Won
Lord of the Rings, Fellowship soundtrack
Pseudo Echo--Love an Adventure
The Clash--Essential Clash

I've only listened to disc 1 of the Led Zep--their new 3-disc live album--but judging from what I've heard, they were probably the most amazing live band of all time. I just sat there in shock when they started playing Immigrant Song. It was one of the most crushingly massive things I've ever heard. It was like rampaging rhinos, but in a musical way. I saw Page and Plant a few years ago, and I thought they were incredible. They mostly played Zep songs, and I just loved it. But without John Bonham, I don't think there can ever be a "Led Zeppelin" again.
