^Definitely. Simon Templar was a character in heaps of films before the tv series with Moore came out. Though Sir Roger was arguably in the tv series, the character nevertheless still spanned several films over many years. Apparently there is a new tv series planned.

Bourne is my #1 choice for the 'more-recent' secret agent movies.
