I saw Hush Split Enz BB King Daddy Coo THE ANGELS, Bowie in the 70's not that manyl

ahhhh the 70's
my high school years :happymemories:

I was a big Bowie fan, my bedroom was covered in Bowie posters .
My sisters boyfriend gave us a huge box of new release records, my best friend's older brother regularly bought records and my high school sweetheart in '77-78' had a twin brother and they both left school to work and joined a mail order record club I had access to heaps of contemporary music...so much of it so good
I am remembering who most often made it onto to my record player.
I'd say
Neil Young
Bob Dylan
Pink Floyd
Led Zeppelin.
Moody Blues
Jackson Browne
Bob Marley
Rory Gallagher
Jeff Beck
JOHNNY WINTER!
stop me now, please

the girls?
Carole King
Linda Rondstat

I had a record by an African drummer
Olitunji -Drums of Passion, that I played to death

it's very hard to choose favourites
the 70's
and now I am remembering going out dancing with my friends in '78 to dance to covers bands...so many great songs
new wave and punk, pogoing around and reggae, a real mixture....
some stop me
the 80's are a bit of a blur for me, but I do very fondly recall the 70's.

I only named bands that had their first album in the 70's not other bands that started before but had great albums in the 70's too or else this list would be huge!

Foreigner reminds me of my childhood, they were one of my older brother's favorite bands.

I need to add The Steve Miller Band to the list
