This is what always interests me, a unique and beautiful voice. I don't want to know who you all consider the BEST vocalists, or BEST frontmen, or FAVORITE poeple who happen to be singer. Just what are you 5 favortie voices in music, solely based on the characteristics of the singer's voice.

Such as:

1. Bjork
2. Patti Smith
3. Emmylou Harris
4. Nick Cave
5. David Byrne

 All amazing and unique voices. Looove it.

Jimmy Gnecco
Jeff Buckley
Neil Diamond(yep that's right, you take away all the cheese and he has one of the strongest unique voices around)
Sinead O'Connor
Michael Stipe

1. bono (yes, he has an incredible, warm voice).
2. john lennon (just listen to i'm only sleeping, i dont think anyone else has ever sounded like that).
3. michael stipe (totally unique)
4. neil finn (fine and crisp voice)
5. jeff tweedy (there's balls in that voice).

1. Michael Stipe
2. Natalie Merchant
3. Jacques Brel
4. Stuart Staples
5. Carl Wilson

I wish I could also have fitted Ryan Adams in there

Get out of my head!

I almost left out Ella for Billie Holiday, but I couldn't do it. Her ability to sing anything from a ballad to scat is incredible. In fact, I know whose CDs I'll be starting the day with.

Ah, now I'm officially out of your head. I don't care for Billie Holliday's voice.

I'd like to add the following two voices to my list:

Karen Carpenter
Stevie Wonder
