I did like the first album a lot. Is this as good, not as good, different? How does it compare?

I got a copy of this album the other day - I've never heard any of their stuff before but I am liking it so far.

i haven't heard the album, except for Benton Harbor blues, which I like. I am not a big fan of the FF, but some stuff I do love.

I like this a lot. It's so different than Fever to Tell, which is definitely a good thing. Don't get me wrong - Fever to Tell is one of my favorite albums of the 00s. BUT, a mainstream(ish) band that is willing to make that much of a departure from one album to the next in the current state of music is admirable, especially when it's a successful departure.
