Definitely very interesting! I couldn't wait, so I looked for the results online. I'm looking forward to seeing this tonight.

Do we love the Olympics or what?

I don't know what will happen if they win! A provincial parade? It'll be a good excuse to act silly and joyous--I cherish those moments. Especially after the hockey disaster...that made me sad

SWEEEEEP...HARDER HARDER!!!!!

Is that the one who was banging on about that girl's laces not being tucked in for like 5 minutes? Yeah, we got it the first 78 times!

That would be Dick Button. Isn't he such a joy to listen to?

Well, I know Scott Hamilton is there too, but the older guy is Dick Button. I think there are three commentators, plus the actual announcer.

Most of the announcers on NBC feel they need to fill airtime with pointless drivel.

Wasn't Shizuka Arakawa amazing? plus I love Violin Fantasy of Turandot by Puccini, fantastic piece of music.

Again, I thought the commentators were full of crap, conservative and beatable, puh-lease! 3rd highest score ever under the new system and 5 triples with 3 in combination. Ok, she downgraded one triple to a double but she didn't fall and was incredibly graceful on the ice. Tough to beat yes, beatable no.

Speaking of which, the same people who questioned how medal winners who fall get medals better be back here questioning Sasha Cohen's medal too. I understand why but c'mon, be consistent. Like Fumie Suguri was technically excellent but lacked the choregraphy and depth to tie it all together, I thought she skated great but the details count to the judges, I'm just a guy who likes chicks in short skirts.

ETA and those little 16yr olds have a great future in the sport, very impressive. Vancouver will welcome them in 2010.

I'm glad someone who got absolutely no hype from NBC and the rest of the press skated great and won the gold. Go Shizuka! I love Sasha's skating, but I was getting sick of hearing about her. And Irina has one of the ugliest skating styles I've ever seen.

i've been avoiding this thread because of hockey spolilers cause NBC isn't putting the games on

but now i have downloaded a few games and caught up

the Russian offense (against USA) was so good it was scary. the way they skate and pass in the offensive zone and the shooting was amazing

the USA deserved to lose to Finland, they showed no desire or discipline

the Russia vs Finland game should be great

even though i'll have to download it later cause the semis aren't on nbc either

tre, you are downloading games off the web,

CBC has rebroadcast every Canadian hockey game in entirety during late night. They will probably do the same tomorrow with one of the semi-finals.

How did you avoid hearing the scores in the games before getting the downloads? or is no one talking about it?
