WTF??? "Snuff the Rooster"???????

This afternoon, while I was making a chocolate cheesecake, I was listening to KROQ trying to hear ES. I still haven't heard it on the radio, and I've had all I can take of KROQ. Anyway some hideous song came on which had a chrous about how they can't "snuff the rooster." I swear to God, that's what he was wailing. What the hell was that?

Rooster is off this album. Great tune IMO... if you listen to the whole song/or read the lyrics that Sicy posted, you'll see what they were singing about.

Well, that album is ten years old heh, I guess for some the grunge sound wasn't too timeless.

The song was written about the singers father, or grandfather, who was in a war. I guess his nickname was "Rooster."

That is the best song off that album!! If you read the lyrics you'll clearly see it is about a soldier probably in the Vietnam War. As far as the "Rooster" I have no idea what that signifies.

That album "dirt" is excellent but also very very sad. I listened to it a couple of weeks ago after not listening to it for years and I realized, "Well if this album isin't a blatant cry for help from this guy than I don't know what else it is"
