I'm just catching up on the thread, and this caught my eye:

Oh My! Speed of Life was pretty cool. It was instrumental, and all 70s U2ish at that. Awesome.

WHAT? Speed Of Life on the Boy remaster is instrumental? But the live version U2 played in 1980 had lyrics! What the fuck?

Here's one thing Axver and I can agree on:

Fuck Phail Collins.

Also:

The studio version of 11 O' Clock Tick Tock is LAME.

Yeah, you'd think it'd be good. Come on, 11OTT owns live and it's produced by MARTIN HANNETT. But no, it fails.

The only thing I like about Levitate is that awesome section in the middle where Larry's drums sound vaguely industrial.

I honestly never noticed that line until it was pointed out on here...

Well what do I know I still sing about iodine in the sky during Elevation

"Iodine in the sky" is better than the real lyric. U2 should pretend that's what it actually is.

It conjures up and image, well I suppose the real lyric does too but I don't need two flying Bonos, that will just be the end of the world
