"Well the Aussies had the game well in hand, but somehow New Zealand have scored a couple of points here and there. With their brilliance, however, it won't be long before the Aussies score!"

I could totally hear the 7 commentary team in my head then too.

You know what else I hate? The terrible Bundy Rum ads that always come with the rugby.

"Who buys U2 records anyway? It's just music for plumbers and bricklayers. Bono, what a slob. You'd think with all that climbing about he does, he'd look real fit and that. But he's real fat, y'know. Reminds me of a soddin' mountain goat."
"And as for Bono, he needs a colostomy bag for his mouth."

Carlton Draught ads are the only ads worth seeing on TV, really. At least they've got a grain of creativity about them.

I can see it already. The presenter sitting there with a sombre face.

"And now, a touching story of how an elderly grandmother was swindled by her grandchildren, at the age of 17. Naomi Robson reports with this exclusive, wondering, can justice be served?"

You know what ruled? The Chaser's "What Have We Learnt From Current Affairs This Week?" That was made of so much SuperWin.

I wonder who was commentating then, and what they said. I hope it was Grieg and Benaud.

How Americans Aren't Really Plastered?

Maybe they learned from U2, and decided to just acronymise the name rather than have it made fun of.

Also, I'm gonna go quiet for a while, gotta try and do some work for once.

Yeah, they do pretty decent ones.

I loved one Bundy Rum ad during the Rugby World Cup, but not for the ad itself. It was that obnoxious "I wish England were Australia" one, and it included a line about how if England were Australia, "we wouldn't suck at sport". What happened? England advanced further than Australia.

That one was funny, but got lame very quickly. The only thing it had going for it was that it was based off "I Vow To Thee My Country".
