I'm soooooooo damn sick of them. Every movie gets worse and worse.

American Pie had it's funny moments, but it was still a stupid movie. But there was nothing TOO gross in it.

Now there are hundreds of copy cat movies just like it. Each one taking it one step further.

I like humor like everyone else, but there's only so many times you can see or hear a joke about a penis or blow job. and now it seems we're getting animals in on the act in these movies.

I just want it to stop. Bring back the classic funny film styles: Spaceballs, Airplane, etc. Those were funny.

I know there are others out there that feel the same way.

I guess I don't have to watch them, and I don't/won't. When I go to rent a movie, I'll just stick with my porn

No. They've been going on for years and they'll never stop. I've always hated them, even when I was a teen.

but uh, why didnt the directors listen after Patrick Dempsey made that true statement in 'Cant Buy Me Love'?

Yeah, it seems a lot of films have that plot.

jock makes bet to go out with a nerd. ends up falling in love with nerd. the nerd is turns out to be very very hot.

if they're going to make these movies, at least make the nerd look UGLY to start! Like we're supposed to believe Britney Spears or Mandy Moore in the role of a nerd. When all they have to do to turn "hot" is take off their glasses? Man I wish it were that easy when I was in highschool. Then maybe I could have gotten a girl to go out with me......oh well, I've got a girl now...

I'm just surprised that there are teens out there that could be this stupid. I wish there would be a mandatory reading class or something in these schools, so that maybe these teenyboppers minds could expand a little bit.

And I guess shame on some of these actors for doing these stupid movies. I guess I'm taking a shot at Cameron Diaz. She got paid 15 million to do The Sweetest Thing. From every review I've read, it's a very bad, gross movie. She's a very talented pretty actress, why is she doing crap like this? If she weren't in this movie, I doubt it would do very well.

i'm tired and I have a tummy ache. time to end the rant.

I went to school with Tara Reid, my friend dated her, and now I am shocked to see what has happened to her...

My school's comedy troop made an excellent parody of teen movies. It's an .mpg I believe. The site is down for now so I'll give the link later.

I agree with you 100%. Die, teenybopper flicks, die!

Here's something more disturbing than the proliference of teen gross out flicks:
On my most recent visit to the movies, the lobby featured posters for the upcoming movies "Jason X" (As in Jason Voorhees, Friday the 13th), and a new Halloween Michael Myers(forget the exact title) movie. How many times must we kill and dismember these guys? I fully expect a new Nightmare on Elm Street will be next.

mad1, when you say "American films" you should realize you're talking about nearly every film that is made, because Hollywood has its tenticles in just about every production company in the world

BEAL, in what movies did Cameron Diaz ever exhibit any sort of acting ability? Drew Barrymore -- yes, Cameron Diaz, nah...

I liked the 80s teen movies like The Breakfast Club, Better Off Dead, Say Anything... and there were a few others that I can't think of at the moment; but movies like Spaceballs and Airplane were not teen-flicks; there are some cool comedies around even today, but very few of the teen comedies are even slightly entertaining these days

I love the teen angst films like "Totally Fucked Up," "The Doom Generation," "Nowhere," "Go," "Storytelling," etc. I should compile a list of them.

And the best teen movie ever -- Fast Times. I'm not sure how it's aged (I can't be objective about that), but for the time, it was totally relevant, and you could actually associate all the characters with people you actually knew in High School.

Well, I didn't see Vanilla Sky, but I "heard" she did some decent acting in that....but I have no proof.

Actually the more I think about it, the more you're right. She really has never shown any acting skill, other than shaking her rump.

I didn't mean to clump Spaceballs and Airplane in with teen movies. I was just using them as an example of the type of humor I like.....

the 80's teen flicks were a lot better than the ones of today. I think maybe some of us can relate to those guys, where it seems that nearly everyone in today's versions are super rich snobs. It used to be there would be one or two snobby people, but now it's every bloody kid in school.

I guess there's nothing we can do, if these movies keep bringing in the cash, then we'll be forced to put up with them.

I totally ignore these type of crappie movies. After I gave American pie a chance I felt disturbed. Now my brother rented 13 ghosts yesterday- we watched like a half an hour of it and I was bored, why do people have an obsession with teens being chased and killed...? I don't get it and I never will.
