Will I be able to understand LOTR2...

without seeing the first one, or not even really knowing what the hell went on, except there was a ring and people wanted it?

Sorry about the misspelling in the thread title. It's more of a typo, really.

you're not going to know who the main characters are, the minor characters, the significance of anything happening in the storyline, but you won't be terribly confused. you'll be able to follow the plot, but you're not going to have an easy time keeping track of characters, places, and battles.

i suggest seeing the first one before seeing two towers. both movies are excellent. i highly recommend the first one before you see the other one.

Ok, so I'll rent the first one and then go see the second one.

Thanks for the tips, kids!

Hot guys, you say?

I own the first one and I watched it maybe a total of 5 times before seeing the second 1. I had a hard time watching the two towers so I went home, watched the 1st one then went back to see the second 1 and it was much easier....

See the first one first! It's good. Aragorn is
