"The Bends" has grown immensely on me in the last few weeks; it's a very consistent album with some staggeringly beautiful songs. And it helps that Thom's singing wasn't so goddamn whiney then as it mostly sounds to me nowadays. It's actually quite quite gorgeous.

to iron lung. they played it at the hollywood bowl show and it was still as stunning as the first time i heard it.
