Who should be the next James Bond?

Gimme your picks and state the case as to why you think your guy(s) should be the next Bond.

My pick is Gerard Butler. Not just because i've been completely obsessed with him lately, but he really does fit the bill.
He can be charming, and turn around and kill.
When well groomed, he has "the look"
The role needs to go back to a Scotsman anyway!

Some of the names floating around have been:
Colin Farrell
Hugh Grant
Colin Firth
Hugh Grant
Even Ben Affleck

I think Gerard would be better than all of them as 007.

Who do you think?

I have no idea who Gerard Butler is. And I say no to all of those names that are floating around.

He's the dude in my avatar, the Phantom. He's not well known now but he's a rising star.

Clive Owen.

He's been mentioned, he's got a good look for it, and he's a damn good actor. (and a Brit)

Clive Owen with a bit of 'tarting up'...

OR

Hugh Grant would be quite funny...I think it would be hard to take him seriously after all those 'rom-coms' though...

But since that's not going to happen...

The names I've heard most are Owen and Ioan Gruffudd, about whom I know nothing other than the fact that he's Welsh and his name is very hard for me to spell.

Clive Owen, Gerard, Jude Law, or Ewan McGregor

My case is that they all have accents and they're all hot
