The exhibition tonight was really wonderful, I just wish they had shown more of the skaters. The Russian couple was terrific! Bravo to all of the skaters

So touching. I think Michelle's story can be a lesson to all kids. Everyone preaches that if you set your mind to it and try hard enough and really believe in your dream you will achieve it. This is an example that no matter how hard you try, how good you are, how much you 'want it' sometimes it just isn't meant to be. Michelle's eight year quest for Olympic gold did not happen. Shit happens, nothing is guaranteed and nothing is promised. Everyone should realize that. Dreams do come true, Sarah's did, but it won't happen for all of us. For most of us, it won't. Sorry to be so cynical, but the world has done this to me.

I was thinking, no one has mentioned this and she probably doesn't care right now, but Michelle Kwan and Nancy Kerrigan are DOUBLE Olympic medalists! Their medals are silver and bronze and not gold, but to go twice, and to make the podium both times is an incredible accomplishment when you consider the odds. I hope in time she will come to feel proud of that.

Poor thing had to skate to 'Fields of Gold' in the exhibition last night in a golden dress. She had tears in her eyes.

Stupid Canadian TV didn't even telvise it...well, they showed Shae and Vic, and Jamie and David, but c'est tout. And the American's NBC showed a bit more (btw...the Russian pairs were great! And a four person death spiral?? WOW!) I was looking forward to Anissina and Peizerat...maybe I missed them? *sigh*
