Which is more important? The LYRICS or the FLOW?

It's one of popular music's most hotly contested debates. Now it's here on Interland for you all to solve.

Feel free to explain why you feel that way.

The experience is the most important part of an album. Lyrics are almost an afterthought. If the flow adds to the experience then it will always be more important than the lyrics.

I voted for Flow too cause I really don't know the words to too many songs, even most of my favorites. I generally just listen to how they go, not what they say.

Flow (n) - Rhythm, beat, sound of song, how the song "goes".

Not necessarily, an acapella song still has a flow.

An accapella song is still music.

Are you really having that much trouble with the notion of what the poll is looking for? Cause really, man, it's not THAT difficult to figure out the difference between "lyrics" and "not lyrics". lol.

I'm just pointing out how lame and meaningless the word "flow" is in this situation. Why couldn't you have just said Lyrics or Music?

Then again, I'm amazed at how easily people understood what the hell you were talking about when talking about "flow" which has more to do with liquid dynamics than anything remotely music-related.

Perhaps then "lyrics" and "not lyrics" is how you should have phrased it in the first place then.
