Well Elvis Presley didn't write many of his own songs, and Elvis Costello was doing a cover of Peace, Love and Understanding.

Still, Can't Help Falling in Love and I Want You respectively.

My favorite is 'Are You Lonesome Tonight?'

but, I LOVE 'Make the World Go Away', his versions of 'You've Lost That Loving Feeling' and 'Unchained Melody'.

Don't discount the late Elvis.....very powerful.

He has never left the building.

When I was a kid, my local television station would play this sometimes during the commercial breaks. It was on heavy rotation on Elvis's birthday and anniversaries of his death. As a 6-year-old, it reached into my soul.

My grandma's cousin is a jazz drummer who played with Elvis and was in two of his movies. I've got a cd of some demos they did together...John doesn't want the cd to leak to the public, which is a shame. It's some great jamming with them from the early 60s! John is in his late 70s now. My secret
