Ok, so I pull this thread out of the confines of 3rd page Lemonade stand. Who woulda thunk this forum would get so much traffic? lol! Anyway, I just wanted to thank all of you who suggested tunes for my mixed CD. I love hearing what other people listen to, and recommendations from others is truly the best way I believe, to discover new music. So thanks guys!! Here are the tunes that made the final cut and those of you who recommended them to me!

1. "Saints and Angels" - The Waterboys (Desert Rose)
2. "My Sweet Lord" - George Harrison
3. "Hands Clean" - Alanis Morissette
4. "Love Cats" - The Cure (hermes)
5. "Lucky Man" - The Verve (zoomerang96))
6. "So You'll Aim Towards The Sky" - Grandaddy
7. "Lover, You Should Have Come Over" - Jeff Buckley (Desert Rose)
8. "Crying Like A Church On Monday" - The New Radicals (New Radical lol)
9. "For Nancy" - Pete Yorn (hermes & sulawesigirl4)
10. "Across The Universe" - Fiona Apple
11. "Creep" - Radiohead (bono-vox)
12. "London Calling" - The Clash (Inspired by notiti)
13. "Let The Truth Sting" - David Gray
14. "My Happiness" - Powderfinger (bono_man)
15. "We Are Eachother" - Beautiful South
16. "Town Called Malice" - The Jam (bono-vox)
17. "Wretched Songs" - Grandaddy

So that's it!! I am really enjoying all those songs. Some I knew, some I didn't. I didn't include any U2 because I generally don't on my mixed CD's. Some good tunes are left out simply because I already own the CD's! I am strange when making mixed CD's, I always like to keep it with songs I don't already have. So thx again everyone!

Question about the New Radicals--> their lead singer... was he ever part of the group World Party? I don't know anything about the New Radicals sorry!! As far as I know they could be from before World Party... or even have nothing to do with them!!! They just sound really similar. (The singers voice, not necessarily the style of music).

Right now, it's "North Dakota" by Lyle Lovett. I know, say Lyle Lovett and most people think "country...ehhh..." but this is really, really good - one of the most gorgeous songs I've heard in a while. It's just achingly beautiful.

I probably would never have given Lyle Lovett's music a thought had I not heard this song. But I figured anyone who could write a song so beautiful deserved a closer look. The album the song is on, Joshua Judges Ruth, is actually quite good - and definitely not your typical country album. Good stuff!

Angel, I can't get enough of "Nite and Fog" by Mercury Rev, also "Dark Is Rising" by the same band.

Definately Strawberry Fields Forever. Especially the new version by Ben Harper on the I am Sam soundtrack. It's fabulous. Other than that:
- New York, Ryan Adams
- Anything by John Mayer and Pete Yorn
- Weezer is always good

90% lazy. 10% something else.

Judoooooooo Chop!
