What's on your bedside table?

The friendliest place on the web for anyone that follows U2.
If you have answers, please help by responding to the unanswered posts.
now if you asked me what I kept piled on my bed, the list would grow to include magazines, clothes, and a whole bunch more stuff that I'm too lazy to move..

Foray - have you read A History of the world in 10 1/2 chapters - Julain barnes? I can't remember if you were the one that reccomeneded it, and I'm looking for something to read.

I dont have one but next to my bed on the floor is my lyric sheets and U2 NME Uncut magazine, and on the widowsil next to my bed is a glass of water and the remote to my cdplayer.

I don't have a table but here's what's on my desk: cordless phone, empty water bottle, textbooks I need to sell, pack of chewing gum, remote controls for tv and stereo, pictures of friends and family, Hard Rock Hotel/Casino plastic cup filled with loose change, stereo, biology dissection kit (only used once to dissect a starfish I think), and high school grad tassle hanging on a trophy I won a couple months ago.

we recently had a re-arrange, so no longer a great bulky portable CD player woohoo,so

I now have a lamp that doesn't teeter over and threaten to unexpectedly clobber me in the middle of the night, just a neat, stable LITTLE one., with it's switch in an ergonomic position.

And more room for...BOOKS!!A pile of books that do teeter, but they fall on the floor , not on me...phew!
Top of the pile Christy Moore's autobigraphy,
Abridged versions of, Graham Greene "Under the Garden", Marcus Aurelius "Meditations" Dirk Bogarde "from Le Pigeonnier" Martin Amis"God's Dice"
Stephen Cummings "WonderBoy"
Joseph O'Connor "Cowboys & Indians"
Thomas Mann "Death In Venice'
Chris Griscom "The Healing of Emotion"
Ned Kelly "The Jerilderie Letter" ( u see why it teeters and I am enjoying more space to collect books)
various booksmarks..( small sandalwood ones from India are my favourite)
my new reading glasses( which I love love love)

An exercise book I write poems I enjoy into...(a treasure, just to gaze upon it)
A moon diary 2001 and a personal journal my friend gave me for my 40th b'day. Only 1 entry and I am too embarrassed to tell you what it says( I admire martha's honesty)
A box of tissues
An asthma inhaler
a hair tie...or two...or three
a playing card ( the 7 of clubs..whatever that means)
a bank statement
2 tickets from 1984 Summer Jam when I saw Australian Crawl and The Church...and the Roulettes..woohoooo!
A wooden ball massager...for when my hands give out
Some Clag glue
A plastic ring with a giant fly on it ( I like wearing that , but it slips off)
Sanctum Rose Ecstacy hand cream
EcoAroma Sensuality Oil
A teeny bottle of lemon massage oil ( they sold out of the sandalwood and orange blossom oil..I have to wait ...again!!)
A pink porcelain dish with various things ( I'm not as honest as martha... shhhhhh)
some dust....sorry
a piece of paper with pennyblack's upcoming gigs listed and mark's email address( should I? nah leave "the boy" alone)
and that's about it.....
a bottle of water on the floor, no room on the table u see!!

you asked.

please don't ask about my dressing table, or the top of the lowboy.....I am what is commonly known in these parts as a "bwer-bird" aka junque collector)
I can see U2, willy nelson and bourbon street ( the band) from my bed..and a model of the pieta and............CASS:eyebrow:

I don't really have a bedside table, but I use part of my dresser as one. Here's what's on it:

alarm clock
CD player
remote control

not exciting at all

My table has two shelves underneath the top...let's see, I've got a lamp, my watch, a stack of cds, a cd changer, amp, a couple pairs of headphones, the LOTR trilogy-in-one-book (just finished it again a couple days ago), and a picture of me and a good friend.

Hmm, well my dresser (which is next to my bed) has my tv, vcr, alarm clock, 3(?) remotes, various scraps of papers, cologne, book (walk on: spiritual guide to U2) picture of a girl I've had a crush on for awhile now :D, label making machine, headphones, walkman, and I think some batteries.

Now that I think of it, I dont think I really have any clothes in the drawers either :der: The first two are filled with cassette tapes, and the rest are filled with more magazines, books, and random junk.

a lamp
four or five picture frames
507,346 half-read books
1 bookmark
a bottle of water
a few birthday cards
a datebook,
a face cream,
a nail filer
change
a candle
a potpourri filled vase

The top of a bookshelf serves as my nightstand.
On top: Alarm clock, Jewelery box, lip balm, remote.

My favorites (Irish theme going on ) are on the 2nd shelf:

4th shelf = tons of self help type books covering everything from raising boys to dieting. I don't ever visit this shelf, but I had good intentions.
