I stayed with a friend for a month when I moved 10 years ago. His kid was 3, she loved the Lion King. I saw the Lion King whenever the kid was awake, in the morning, afternoon, evening, in the living room, in the den, in the yard, in my sleep, Mufasa, ARRRRRGHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!

I used to be able to recite the entire movie.

Opening line: Life's not fair, is it? You see I, well I will never be king. And you, you shall never see the light of another day.
Zazu: Didn't your mother ever tell you not to play with your food?
etc etc etc

Still haven't seen ET.

You are not a complete human until you've seen and cried during E.T.
Facts!

The fact that James Earl Jones is the voice of Mufasa is absolutely amazing.

I wish I had that voice.

SIMBAAAAAH.

In no order:

Stars Wars IV
Grease
Murder By Death
Stand By Me

about ET....I remember seeing it when it first came out. I cried so hard watching that movie that I refused to ever see it again. What year did it come out? I was probably 6, 7, 8 years old. I did go see it when it was out a few years ago in the theaters again. I was able to see it without crying my way through but I don't think I'll ever see it again. It's one of those weird childhood memories that always makes me sad.

The Lion King
The Sound of Music
Lord of the Rings (I'd say all 3 equally but I know I've seen "The Two Towers" more)
The Blues Brothers
Shrek
Monty Python and the Holy Grail

Edited to add and say I forgot:

Das Boot
and
The Wizard of Oz

Wayne's World

I think my semester of living in a dorm with no cable, a VCR, and a copy of that movie pushed my tally way over the top. I'd play it over and over again all day. It would end, I would rewind. People commented that every time they walked past my room, that movie was on.

i cried way more watching the re-release of ET as an adult than i did as a child. i think i was mourning the end of my childhood or something.

some other honorable mention movies:

How good is that movie?

"Mi scusi!"

"I watched a gay porn once....the girls never came...THE GIRLS NEVER CAME!"

Friggin classic. That movie was on HBO and I watched it every single time it came on. My wife was first reluctant, but a after catching a few scenes, she loved it too. I used to catch her watching it and quoting it.

Scotty Doesn't Know - all the different versions throughout the movie, brilliant. "Hey, here's a fun fact - you fooled around with your sister." Cooper's shirt that had a picture of his face and said, "Cooper" on it - awesome. That whole movie kills me, beginning to end.

Dazed and Confused: I've seen that movie a bunch of times too.
Pulp Fiction too.

In the theaters? Jesus H Christ in a chicken basket!

I think we have a winner.

The most I've EVER seen ANY movie in the theaters was 4 times, and that was V for Vendetta.

I saw 40 Year Old Virgin twice. That's the most I've seen something in the theaters. I just never got into the whole repeat viewings in a theatre thing.

Although V For Vendetta (my favorite film of 2006) was so amazing on a bigger screen that I could see myself being way into seeing it again. I wish I got to see it in IMAX.

I saw it twice in the regular theater. Then we saw it IMAX (Which would have been mindblowing were it not for the redneck white-trash inexcusably rude family sitting directly behind us) and then once more in theaters the following week. Yeah, I liked it.
