Justin Timberlake of the five-member boy band said they're not so different from the Seattle grunge pioneers.
"I think pop is whatever's popular, you know," Timberlake said Monday during NBC's "Today" show before the group performed their latest single, "Pop."
"There's different forms of rap that are pop. Nirvana was pop because they were popular. And so I think that's the whole concept behind the song itself."
