monday is the warped tour.

sept. 15th is tim mcgraw, unless i can get someone to take the tickets off me and find a ride to boston so i can go to the bruisers reunion show. there are 30 days in september. it's just my luck that both of these things would be on the same day. if i had known the bruisers show was on the 15th, i'd never have got tim mcgraw tickets. as of now, i'll be going to that show, but there's no way i'll be able to have a good time if i know the bruisers are playing a one-shot reunion show just 2 hours away :sigh:

and i really wish i was going to johnstown, ny on saturday to see the blue bloods/wrong side of the tracks and some other bands, but due to sheer stupidity on my mom's part, i'm stuck at home.

oh, and i'm planning on going to see gaelic storm sometime later this month (can't remember when the exact date is), although i'll probably miss that show, too. i think i've missed them the last 3 times they've played out here :der:

october 15th (i think) - the pietasters and big d = i will be there.

ooh look, i'm quoting myself.

went to the warped tour
missed gaelic storm  (actually forgot about the show until the day after)
didn't go to ny, but i hear no one else did either

gogol bordello is coming nearby sometime in october

the pietasters - i will be there. definetly.

and more importantly:
the bruisers show is on the 14th. i have tickets.
tim mcgraw is on the 15th. still have tickets.
no more conflict.

Man, I am jealous of everyone here, going to a million concerts every year. I wish I could do that. Too bad no one ever comes to Indianapolis. Well, Coldplay did, but I didn't get to see them :(

So far I've just seen U2 (5/7 Chicago) and The Killers (7/22 Indianapolis, with opening act Conner, which ruled a lot). I'm also gonna see U2 in December (Cleveland). That's all I've got for this year.

The Black Crowes and Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers show was amazing. I tried to get tickets for the Black Crowes at the Ford Theater because that opening set was just too short. Sadly, the theater shows all sold out.

I went to John Mayer Trio at the House of Blues Sunset last week and it rocked. I know John Mayer gets picked on quite a bit for making girl-friendly music but he is so crazy talented. The things that kid does with a guitar are tremendous. The encore was a jam with one of the Neville Brothers and John Popper, pretty cool. I will definitely be going to more John Mayer shows in the future.

Up next are three U2 shows in November. Trying for Foo Fighters/Weezer/Hot Hot Heat tickets this weekend.

msmofo, i wish you were coming to the 10/8 show, so I could meet you:mad:

 It's my loss I guess ...
Actually, I'm going on vacation soon for 2 weeks ... :applaud:
The first week of Oct 1-8 to Missouri ... that's why I'm NOT going to see U2 until the 10th as I'll be returning home from Missouri on the 8th.
The second week Oct. 9-15 ... I'll be in New York ...
I'm flying over on Oct 9th and staying with friends until the following weekend. I'm going to the 10/14 show too (besides 10/10) and be going back home on Saturday 10/15.
So, if I'm NOT here everyone now knows why ... :giggle:

Wow, is that one show or three separate gigs? If it's just one show it'll be amazing but they're all great live by themselves.

Me list:
January
Green Day (New Found Glory supported)
NME Awards Tour - The Killers, The Futureheads, Bloc Party and Kaiser Cheifs

February
R.E.M.

March
Jimmy Eat World
Razorlight

May
Super Furry Animals

June
Weezer
U2 (14/6 Manchester show with Snow Patrol and The Bravery supporting)
Green Day (19/6 Milton Keynes show with Jimmy Eat World, Taking Back Sunday and Hard-Fi supporting)

July
R.E.M. (with The Zutons and Idlewild)
U2 (9/7 Paris show with Snow Patrol and Starsailor supporting)
Bloc Party

Coming up
Kaiser Cheifs (with Maximo Park and The Cribs)
Supergrass
The Bravery
Foo Fighters (with The Futureheads and Eagles of Death Metal)

That's one show, coming to the Long Beach Arena in October. I really hope the presale works out.

So jealous that you've seen Jimmy Eat World, I'm still bummed I missed the Pop Disaster Tour with JEW, Green Day and Blink.

Good God, you have to get to that show. Seriously. Hope the presale / general sale works out for you.

And JEW were great *grins* they were the deciding factor that made me go to see Green Day again. But yeah, I was kicking myself for completely missing that tour after it finished, those three bands were pretty much my three most played at the time >.<

The only concerts I've ever been to are Brooks and Dunn (My GRANDMA bought me a ticket for my 14th birthday... So not cool. You can't tell your grandma no :| )

So my first not-forced concert was U2, San Jose 2

And hopefully again in Portland... If I can get the money, and convince my mom to let me drive from Redding, CA on my own.
