i'm friends with the guy who won the first big brother

You're friends with Eddie? :hyper: That's cool, I was obsessed with that season, but haven't watched it since. They all seemed like really nice people.

My list are mostly athletes. I met pretty much everyone who played for the Toronto Blue Jays from the early to mid 90's. And Gretzky and family, of course. A few Canadian rock bands from decades ago that I'm sure no one here would know of. U2 minus Adam Clayton.

Oh yeah! George Stroumboulopoulos.

I'm sure there are more I'm forgetting.

WIN BUTLER!!!!

/thrad

But besides that, too many Montreal Expos players before they got too good and were shipped away....lots of Montreal Canadiens players, Dave Schultz of Flyers broadstreet bullies fame, meh, Bart Starr I think. I don't really count sports personalities...they're usually down to earth or can't speak English well enough to count as me meeting them.

So yeah, Win Butler. I also had the chance to go say hi to Tim Kingsbury after an AF gig at a church, but, I didn't feel the need to. I was just thinking like, "Oh, that's Tim Kingsbury" but I didn't feel the need to say hi.

Hmm.

I went on a cruise that Jon Secada was on once. I splashed him while in the ocean, but I didn't meet him or anything.

And I saw Bono and Edge from a few feet away, but didn't meet them.

:jealous:

I can't think of anyone besides Bono
I worked at a record store back in the 80s, and we had some famous people come in. I rung up George Carlin!

You haven't met I.P. Freely? The phail is strong with this one. :tsk:

Wow, there's some impressive lists there!

Living in little old NZ doesn't give much opportunity for celebrity meetings....however I've managed these....

Larry
Bono
Edge
Stood immediately next to Adam but didn't talk to him
Matt Bellamy
Dominic Howard
Chris Wolstenholme
And talked to a few Kiwi 'celebrities' over the phone in my insurance job and making a celebrity cookbook....

Peter Buck
Billy Bragg
Mike Peters from the Alarm
Grant Lee Phillips
Liam and Fiachna from Hothouse Flowers
Daniel Lanois

and some short Irish bloke with glasses....

I worked with Julia Zemiro, we were waitresses in a flashy resturant together in Sydney called "The Criterion" above Theatre Royal!

Julia...if you are out there - Remember when we were made to wear costumes for our once a month theme-nights, we had Arabian, Italian & Spanish nights.....hilarious times.

IOTA at the launch of The Rocky Horror Show production - he was off his chops! this was the night i absolutely got hammered from all the FREE wine and blurted out in the middle of Garden resturant in Star City
" OMG....there's that,that dude from Ferris Bueller's Day off!!......Hiiii "

Brett Hodgson at a launch of a new resturant in Campbelltown, nice guy we talked for about 20 minutes.

You worked with Julia Zemiro!
I think she is a complete scream!

The only really famous person I have meet was Rob Hurst (drummer from Midnight Oil) Well it wasn't really me it was my Dad but I was there, and I saw him at a footy game years ago, and said hello.

Oh and I waved to James Reyne last weekend and he waved back, does that count as meeting someone?
