the mods usually are the ones to start them because they're the ones closing the threads. as for posting in them, well, i know i only post in two of them and pax posts in one. i don't think any of the other mods post in any.

and yes i too think these threads have gotten out of hand. but they're not against the rules, so

Just heard this on NBC News about Arlene. It will be the first hurricane of the season, and it's only June.
